Springfield Armory announced the launch of the SAINT Victor 5.5" 9mm PDW on Thursday, adding a pistol-caliber variant to its AR-pattern SAINT Victor line built around a 5.5-inch barrel and an SB Tactical collapsible brace, the company said in a press release. The gun carries an MSRP of $1,399 under SKU STV95509T-PDW.
The new model pairs a 5.5-inch chrome-moly vanadium barrel, finished in Melonite and cut with 1/2x28 threads for direct suppressor mounting, with an SB Tactical HBPDW three-position adjustable brace. Overall length runs from 18.5 inches collapsed to 23.25 inches extended, and the pistol weighs 5 pounds 15 ounces. Feeding is handled by a 32-round Colt-pattern magazine, which ships with the firearm.

"The SAINT Victor 5.5" 9mm PDW offers uncompromising compact firepower," Steve Kramer, vice president of marketing for Springfield Armory, said in the announcement. "With its short 5.5" barrel and collapsible HPDW brace, this is a compact firearm designed to deliver when it counts."
Mechanically, the pistol runs on a 9mm direct-blowback bolt carrier group inside forged 7075-T6 upper and lower receivers, both finished in Tungsten Gray Cerakote. The lower carries Springfield's Accu-Tite tension system to reduce receiver slop, along with a 45-degree short-throw ambidextrous safety selector, a nickel boron-coated flat trigger, and B5 Systems furniture — the Type 23 P-Grip and polymer trigger guard.
The aluminum free-float handguard is M-Lok compatible and includes Springfield's locking-tab attachment system. A full-length Picatinny rail runs along the top of the upper, and the muzzle ships with the company's SA Muzzle Drum, which is removable for users installing a suppressor. A low-profile hand stop is included up front as a forward index.
The pistol is offered as a complete package, shipping with one 32-round magazine and a padded rifle case with interior Velcro straps and exterior magazine pouches, according to the product listing. UPC is 706397002008.
The release slots the 9mm PDW beneath Springfield's 5.56 SAINT Victor pistol variants and gives the company a direct entry into the compact pistol-caliber AR segment, a category that has grown steadily alongside rising consumer interest in suppressor-ready PCC platforms.
