ZEV Technologies and streetwear brand WRMFZY are teaming up again. On October 27 the two companies announced the OZ DOOM XL, a long-slide follow-up to the OZ DOOM, the custom OZ9 they released together in 2023. Pre-orders open October 31 and close November 14, and orders go only through ZEV's website. The pistol carries an MSRP of $2,900, and deliveries are expected to begin March 1, 2027.

The XL is built on ZEV's OZ9 long-slide platform in 9mm. ZEV says the build is aimed at shooters "who care how flat the dot tracks," and most of the added weight sits in the grip. The co-branded Gen 2 grip module is machined from 7075 aluminum and anodized in FDE. It has an integrated magwell and aggressive checkering, plus two top-loading tungsten weights that ZEV says hold the muzzle down through recoil. The grip is exclusive to this launch.

Up top, a WRMFZY-branded slide in DLC is cut for both RMR- and DPP-footprint optics. The frame and barrel are also DLC coated. ZEV's Fulcrum Adjustable trigger comes installed and lets the shooter set pre-travel and over-travel. ZEV says every spring in the slide is tuned for this configuration, so the pistol is meant to run out of the box with no tuning.

WRMFZY brought streetwear's drop model to the gun world, selling limited runs of apparel, patches and gear and partnering with shooting-industry brands. Its Gypsy mascot appears on the XL as Doom Gypsy basepads on both included magazines. The pistol ships in a custom yellow Condition 1 case.

"Miss a drop and you're stuck shopping on the resale market," the companies said in the announcement, which closes with "October 31, it's back. November 14, it's gone."

The collaboration also includes apparel. Co-branded ZEV x WRMFZY hoodies and shirts go up for pre-order on WRMFZY's site on October 31, the same day the pistol window opens.
