SIG Sauer has unveiled the MCX-LTAW, a civilian version of the Low-Visibility Assault Weapon configuration originally fielded by U.S. special operations forces, bringing a factory-integrated suppressed .300 Blackout SBR to the commercial market through normal distribution for the first time. The platform was revealed at SIG's annual SIG NEXT event last week; the Suppressor SBR Combo is listed on SIG's website at an MSRP of $3,499. Soldier Systems Daily reported the full specification sheet on September 30.

The LTAW — Low Tactical Assault Weapon — is built around a 6.75-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel chambered in .300 Blackout, mated to SIG's SQX suppressor. Unlike a conventional over-barrel can, the SQX fits flush within the LVSD handguard, keeping the overall package genuinely compact and eliminating the snag points a traditional suppressor mounting introduces. The gas system is adjustable and runs reliably in both suppressed and unsuppressed modes.

SIG's Suppressor SBR Combo ships as a complete, ready-to-run package: a ROMEO4T-PRO red dot already mounted, a two-stage match trigger, a folding skeletonized stock, and a set of Arisaka accessories including a handstop, indexer, light mount, and QD mount. Controls are fully ambidextrous. The Firearm Blog's Silencer Saturday column noted that the MCX-LTAW's integrated suppressor geometry closely mirrors the handling profile of the fielded LVAW, making it the most direct civilian analog to that special operations configuration available through commercial channels.

Four configurations will be offered: the Suppressor SBR Combo and a Suppressor Pistol version, along with unsuppressed SBR and pistol variants that retain the LVSD handguard profile via a faux suppressor. Buyers selecting the suppressed SBR configuration should note that this is a two-stamp NFA purchase — the registered SBR receiver and the registered suppressor each require a separate Form 4 and a $200 tax stamp. With e-file Form 4 processing averaging six to ten months for most trust holders, early movers have good reason to queue up sooner rather than later.

The Firearm Blog and Garand Thumb have both published early evaluations, with Garand Thumb logging a 500-round suppressed range report through the platform without notable issues. SIG has confirmed that commercial orders will open by year-end through RSR Group as the initial exclusive distributor.

The civilian MCX-LTAW marks SIG's first direct commercial offering of a suppressor-integrated MCX platform through standard FFL distribution. For shooters already running .300 Blackout hosts, the LTAW presents a turn-key suppressed solution rather than the conventional route of sourcing a host rifle and a separate can. RSR Group dealer allocations and order windows are expected to be announced as SIG locks in its year-end production schedule.
