SB Tactical introduced the SBA6 this week, a new 5-position adjustable pistol stabilizing brace developed in partnership with New Hampshire-based Die Free Co. that the company is calling its narrowest A-Series model to date. Black units began shipping July 28, with flat dark earth and olive drab green variants planned for the fourth quarter of 2026.

The SBA6 mounts on any MIL-SPEC carbine receiver extension and measures approximately 1.6 inches at its widest point, narrower than the long-running SBA3 it is positioned to succeed in the lineup. At 8.5 ounces the brace collapses to 7.1 inches and extends to 9.5 inches across its five positions. The headlining hardware addition is a full rubber arm cuff, which SB Tactical identifies as the primary differentiator from earlier A-Series models, paired with an integral ambidextrous QD sling socket and an adjustable nylon strap.

The Die Free Co. collaboration was central to keeping the SBA6's profile as lean as it is. The New Hampshire firm, known in the builder community for stripped and anodized lowers, worked with SB Tactical's engineering team to streamline the brace geometry without sacrificing the cuff surface area that most users rely on for single-handed stabilization. The Outdoor Wire carried the official announcement. The Firearm Blog noted the SBA6 represents the first numbered addition to the A-Series since the SBA5 debuted, and that the design refines the minimalist formula that made the SBA3 an industry standard in AR-format pistol builds.

MSRP is $124.99, with launch dealer pricing in Black already running as low as $99.99 at some distributors. The brace is compatible with any host built around a standard MIL-SPEC receiver extension, covering the vast majority of AR-format pistols on the market.

The AR pistol brace market stabilized after years of regulatory uncertainty following ATF rulemaking and subsequent court challenges. SB Tactical was among the founding companies of the pistol brace category, and A-Series models have consistently held significant market share in the segment. The SBA6 carries that lineage forward with a sharper profile and the rubber cuff that prior models in the line lacked.

FDE and ODG finishes are expected in Q4. SB Tactical said additional color and configuration options may follow, though no specific timeline was provided. Prospective buyers can find the Black version now through SB Tactical's dealer network.
