Primary Arms has launched four new CLx-series optics filling a price tier below the company's well-established SLx line, making its lifetime-warranty, nitrogen-purged construction available from $149.99. The new quartet — two prism scopes and two red dots — is shipping now through primaryarms.com as well as Brownells and OpticsPlanet.

The CLx RD-23, a push-button red dot, leads at $149.99. The CLx Enclosed Reflex Sight with AutoLive sleep mode sits at $179.99 and runs the RMSc footprint, making it a direct drop-in for the Sig P365, Springfield Hellcat, Smith & Wesson Shield Plus, and Glock 43X and 48 MOS — the core of the modern micro-compact carry lineup. The CLx 1x Prism with Circle Dot reticle is $199.99, and the CLx 3x Prism with 5.56 Cross Dot reticle rounds out the family at $219.99.

All four CLx optics carry construction fundamentals in common with the SLx family: hardcoat-anodized aluminum housing, nitrogen purging for fog-proofing, and waterproof construction. Each model ships with 10 illumination brightness levels including two night-vision-compatible positions, and the full Primary Arms lifetime warranty applies across the board. The tradeoff versus the SLx tier is the absence of ACSS reticles — the horseshoe-and-chevron ballistic-correction system that has made Primary Arms prisms a staple in the competition and training markets — along with some finish refinement. The net saving runs $30 to $65 per unit depending on the model.

The two CLx prism scopes use etched-glass reticles, which remain visible without battery power and appear crisp regardless of astigmatism — a notable advantage for shooters who find illuminated red dot aiming points appear to smear or starburst. That characteristic puts both CLx prisms in direct competition with budget offerings from Swampfox, Vortex, and Holosun at a slightly lower price point than the competing 1x and 3x prisms in those lineups.

Timing positions the CLx launch in the middle of a surge in suppressor ownership. With the $200 NFA transfer tax eliminated since January 1 and first-quarter retail data from the NSSF showing suppressor unit sales up more than 50 percent year-over-year, a new cohort of shooters is building suppressor-ready host pistols and looking for night-vision-ready optics without the premium price. The CLx Enclosed Reflex Sight, at $179.99 with RMSc footprint and two NV-compatible brightness settings, sits squarely in that use case.

Primary Arms is headquartered in Houston. The SLx line includes a portion of domestically manufactured units; the CLx line is listed as imported. Dealer stock through the major firearms retailers is expected to fully normalize in late June or early July as initial shipments clear.
