Modular Driven Technologies has entered the precision rifle action market for the first time, launching three bolt-action platforms built by Lone Peak Arms, the Utah custom action manufacturer MDT acquired earlier this year. The Firearm Blog reported that the Fuzion, Fuzion Ti, and Razor actions became available August 7 at mdttac.com and through MDT's authorized dealer network — a meaningful expansion for a company that built its name in chassis systems, handguards, and bipod accessories.

MDT completed the acquisition of Lone Peak Arms, and its sister machining operation Leading Edge Machine, in February 2026. The Lone Peak name had already earned a strong following among competitive precision rifle shooters and custom builders before the sale, particularly for the titanium Fuzion and its significant weight reduction over conventional stainless actions. Under MDT's ownership, the line gains the company's full distribution network and dealer support infrastructure — a practical advantage for precision rifle builders who want a single point of contact from the action through the chassis.

All three models share a Remington 700 footprint, giving builders access to the widest available selection of aftermarket stocks, chassis, triggers, and bottom metal on the market. Common features across the family include EDM-cut raceways, a 75-degree bolt throw, a one-piece 4340 chrome-moly fluted bolt with a nitride finish, a mini M-16-style extractor, and an integral 20 MOA Picatinny rail.

The Fuzion is the stainless flagship, machined from 416R stainless with an integral recoil lug and side bolt release. It's available in short action at 34 ounces, long action at 38 ounces, and a dedicated .338 Lapua Magnum long action at 39 ounces, priced at $1,449.99. The Fuzion Ti moves to 6AL-4V titanium with a DLC-coated receiver and an integral 20 MOA split rail with Alpine Port for enhanced scope-mounting flexibility. The titanium model weighs 21 ounces in short action and 22 in long action, priced at $1,749.99. The Razor fills the entry position at $1,199.99, offering the same 700-footprint compatibility for builders who want quality machining at a lower price point.

The launch is notable as the first time MDT has offered a rifle action under its own distribution umbrella, completing a more integrated product stack from the action through chassis and accessories. Builders assembling a competition or hunting rifle around an MDT platform can now source a factory-supported action without sourcing from a separate vendor. All three actions are in stock and shipping as of August 7.
