Langdon Tactical Technology has added Steyr's ATD to its custom pistol lineup, offering shooters a trigger-tuned version of the Austrian DA/SA platform in two configurations: the standard LTT Steyr ATD and the LTT Steyr ATD Comp, which includes Steyr's factory barrel and slide porting. The Firearm Blog and GunsAmerica both reported on the additions, which mark LTT's first collaboration with Steyr Arms and a notable expansion of the company's DA/SA catalog beyond its long-running Beretta series. Steyr's base ATD platform retails between $899 and $1,099; LTT pricing for the tuned versions was not announced at launch.

LTT Steyr ATD Custom Pistol

9mm DA/SA custom pistol with LTT trigger work, 4-inch barrel, optics-ready

The ATD is Steyr's modern defensive DA/SA pistol, built around a serialized chassis that allows swapping grip modules between compact and full-size configurations. It reached the US market earlier this year after a period of availability in European markets. The platform features an optics-ready milled slide, six optic adapter plates, and a frame designed to accommodate both right- and left-handed shooters. LTT's Eric Langdon said the platform appealed to his team because Steyr engineered the ATD with fresh eyes rather than updating legacy geometry, giving LTT a clean foundation to work from on the trigger side.

LTT's modifications center on the trigger. Gunsmiths at the company polish critical internal components, reduce overtravel and reset, and set final trigger weight to consistent specifications across both configurations. Single-action pulls are set between 3.75 and 4.25 pounds, and double-action runs 7.5 to 8.5 pounds — figures aligned with what LTT delivers on its Beretta-based guns. Buyers can choose a flat or curved Match Trigger at order time, a preference option that runs through the entire LTT product line.

Each LTT Steyr ATD ships with two 18-round magazines and one 20-round magazine where state law permits, along with the six optic plates. The pistol is chambered in 9mm, carries a 4-inch barrel, and weighs 27.5 ounces unloaded. The Comp version adds Steyr's integrated barrel and slide porting without changing overall dimensions, offering muzzle-rise control built into the factory package rather than added via a standalone compensator attachment.

The addition builds on LTT's track record with DA/SA platforms. The Beretta 92G Elite Combat LTT has been among the most respected custom production pistols on the market for years, and the Steyr ATD gives buyers a polymer-framed option with a more modern chassis architecture alongside LTT's trigger work. GunsAmerica noted the Comp variant in particular as well-suited to competitive shooters and duty-carry buyers who want factory porting in a tuned package.

The move also extends LTT's reach into the growing segment of shooters exploring DA/SA platforms as an alternative to striker-fired options. DA/SA trigger systems offer a double-action first pull that functions as an integrated passive safety, a characteristic that has kept the format attractive to certain law enforcement and civilian buyers despite the dominance of striker-fired designs in the carry market.

Full pricing and dealer availability are expected from Langdon Tactical in the coming weeks.
