Canik USA formally entered the suppressor market at the start of April 2026 with the debut of its VOID series, a lineup of rifle cans built in partnership with Kentucky-based Otter Creek Labs and now available at licensed NFA dealers nationwide — marking the company's most significant product category expansion since establishing its U.S. handgun footprint.
Modular rifle suppressor
The initial VOID lineup covers two centerfire rifle calibers across three models. The VOID-556 is the full-length 5.56 option, measuring 6.1 inches and weighing 14.9 oz, built around a welded 17-4 stainless-steel baffle stack and finished in matte black Cerakote, with a 1/2x28 direct-thread mount. The VOID-556K trims the package to 5.1 inches and 12.3 oz for shooters prioritizing maneuverability. The VOID-762 handles calibers up to .300 Winchester Magnum out of a 20-inch barrel, sharing the 6.1-inch length, running 14.9 oz, measuring 1.625 inches in diameter, and shipping with a 5/8x24 direct-thread adapter. All three rifle models carry an MSRP of $649.99 and are available for immediate NFA transfer at dealers including Capitol Armory. All three models are built around the industry-standard 1.375x24 HUB rear interface, keeping them compatible with the broad ecosystem of quick-detach mounts already in shooters' hands. The front end cap is user-swappable between a flowthrough configuration optimized for low back pressure — a priority for direct-impingement rifle owners — and a more enclosed baffle stack tuned for maximum sound reduction. Canik says the design reflects OCL's experience building cans specifically for suppressor-optimized gas systems, and the all-stainless construction is rated for full-auto fire.
A fourth model, the VOID-9, is in development for the 9mm pistol and PCC market. Unlike the stainless-steel rifle cans, the VOID-9 is fabricated from 3D-printed titanium, measuring 6 inches in length and 1.63 inches in diameter at 12.3 oz. It is rated for standard pistol cartridges and for both subsonic and supersonic .300 Blackout from a minimum 9-inch barrel, making it cross-compatible with short-barreled suppressor hosts. MSRP is set at $849.99; no firm ship date has been announced. Canik's move into NFA items follows a broader industry trend of established handgun brands extending into the suppressor segment rather than leaving that revenue with specialty manufacturers.
What to watch: Canik and Otter Creek Labs have not confirmed a release window for the VOID-9, but the company has indicated a full four-model lineup before year-end. Dealers report strong initial interest in the rifle models; an eventual pistol suppressor from a brand with Canik's installed base of TP9 and METE owners would reach a substantial segment of the defensive and recreational shooting market.
