Palmetto State Armory is bringing its build-it-yourself philosophy to the pump-action shotgun. The company launches the PSA 570 today, Friday, July 24, with the reveal set for 4:30 p.m. Eastern — a drop PSA teased on Instagram with a single line, "The pump is primed," and one it first previewed at SHOT Show 2024 before showing a near-final gun at SHOT Show 2026.
The 570 is a 12-gauge pump chambered for both 2.75- and 3-inch shells, feeding from a tube that holds 7+1. At launch it ships with an 18.5-inch steel barrel and a fixed cylinder bore, a Glock-pattern front sight, a backup rear sight on the receiver cover, and a rear tang safety. It weighs about 6.6 pounds.

What sets the 570 apart from a standard pump is how much of it the owner controls. Every receiver ships with a factory-cut Trijicon RMR footprint, so a red dot mounts directly to the gun rather than to a clamp-on rail. PSA also built the shotgun around a free-float hanger system that moves lockup to the rear of the magazine feed tube, letting the forend ride independently of the barrel and magazine tube. The result is a platform an owner can reconfigure at home.
The 570 is cut to accept Remington 870-pattern stocks and forends, opening it to one of the deepest aftermarket furniture catalogs in the shotgun world. Barrels and magazine tubes are specific to the 570, but PSA designed them to swap with a supplied wrench and no gunsmith, so a shooter can run a short home-defense setup one weekend and a longer utility barrel the next.
At launch PSA is offering four configurations built on the same 18.5-inch, 7+1 core. Two wear PSA's own furniture in black and Flat Dark Earth, with QD sling mounts and adjustable length-of-pull spacers. The other two pair the receiver with Magpul furniture — an SGA stock and MOE forend — again in black and FDE.
Palmetto State Armory had not posted an MSRP as of the reveal, though the company has built its reputation on undercutting established names, and a modular, 870-compatible pump priced under a comparably equipped Remington 870 would follow that pattern.
