JMAC Customs' Combloc Division and Richmond Tactical have released the Banka, a titanium AK suppressor designed from the ground up around the AK platform's barrel geometry and high-pressure gas system rather than adapted from an AR-centric design, The Firearm Blog reported on August 20. The Banka is machined from 6AL-4V titanium, measures 7.1 inches in overall length at 1.85 inches in diameter, and weighs 15.5 ounces. Its .410-inch bore covers 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, and other common AK-family chamberings.
The suppressor's defining design feature is a dual-chamber front-exhaust system that channels gas and pressure forward, away from the shooter. That architecture addresses two problems well-known to suppressed AK users: the port-pop effect produced by the AK gas system's proximity to the shooter's face, and the eye-level gas cloud that builds up on the shooter's side of a conventional suppressor can. The Firearm Blog's review noted the front-exhaust design also keeps cyclic rate stable under suppression without requiring any gas-system tuning on the host rifle — a common nuisance with suppressors not engineered specifically for the AK's operating characteristics.
Mounting is designed to pair with JMAC's 360HD and 360HDM facemount systems, which index directly off the AK barrel face rather than a muzzle shoulder. That matters because AK-pattern barrels lack the consistent muzzle-shoulder geometry found on AR-family rifles, and suppressors built for the AR often index poorly or not at all on AK-thread profiles. By engineering the Banka's mount around a face-indexing system JMAC already produces, the collaboration sidesteps that fitment problem from the start.
JMAC Customs has built a niche over the past decade producing AK-specific muzzle devices, furniture, and accessories through its Combloc Division, which focuses on platforms where mainstream AR-centric accessories leave gaps. Richmond Tactical contributed gas-flow engineering expertise to the project. The collaboration represents JMAC's most technically ambitious muzzle-end product to date, and the titanium construction keeps the Banka competitive in weight with lightweight aluminum suppressors while offering improved durability at AK pressure levels.
Pricing was not disclosed in the initial announcement. Buyers can visit JMAC Customs' website for current pricing, compatibility details across specific AK host platforms, and 360HD mounting system options. Given the titanium construction and full AK-specific engineering, the Banka is expected to sit in the premium tier of the AK suppressor market.
