Zanders Sporting Goods has introduced the Canik METE MC9LS Flying Aces, a Zanders-exclusive 9mm compact pistol dressed in World War II aviation-inspired laser-ablated Cerakote artwork, Athlon Outdoors reported. The special edition is built on the same MC9LS carry platform that has earned a following in the optics-ready compact market since its introduction, now arriving with a finish that sets it apart from the standard color lineup.
9mm compact striker-fired pistol, 3.63-inch barrel, optics-ready, 17+1 capacity
The MC9LS is a striker-fired 9mm pistol with a 3.63-inch barrel and a 17+1 round capacity. The slide features Canik's optics-ready interface, and the grip includes interchangeable backstraps to fit different hand sizes and carry configurations. Controls are fully ambidextrous. Those are the same bones as every other METE MC9LS; what changes with the Flying Aces edition is the Cerakote finish, which carries detailed aviation motifs applied through laser ablation across the slide.
Zanders Sporting Goods is the first distributor to bring the Flying Aces edition to its dealer network. That exclusivity means buyers will need to source it through dealers that carry the Zanders catalog rather than through the full breadth of Canik USA's distribution channels. The Zanders dealer locator is the most direct path to availability.
The special-edition market has been a consistent win for Canik USA. Its partnerships with regional distributors have produced a string of themed and limited-run pistols that move quickly through the collector and enthusiast segment without demanding a significant premium over the core platform. Standard MC9LS variants currently list at dealer counters in the $479 to $530 range; special-edition pricing for the Flying Aces was not confirmed at press time, but comparable Canik exclusives have historically tracked close to standard MSRP.
The WWII aviation theme taps a nostalgia segment that has shown persistent demand across the firearms market, from limited-edition 1911s to themed ARs. The Firearms Blog noted the execution of the nose-art Cerakote finish and highlighted the optics-ready slide configuration, which keeps the pistol practical as a duty or carry piece for anyone who wants to run a micro red dot on the platform.
Zanders-exclusive editions of this type typically reach dealer shelves within days of distributor announcement. Interested buyers can contact their Canik-stocking dealer to place an order or confirm availability through the Zanders dealer network.
