XS Sights has expanded two of its most popular night sight lines — the DXT2 Pro and R3D 2.0 — to cover a broader range of pistols from SIG Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Springfield Armory, and FN. The additions bring the Fort Worth, Texas company's tritium sight options to shooters carrying some of the most common duty and concealed carry platforms on the market.
The DXT2 Pro is designed as a defensive upgrade that prioritizes fast target acquisition in low-light conditions. The front sight features XS Sights' signature large tritium lamp surrounded by a white dot and a green glow ring that provides bright illumination even without ambient light to charge it. The rear sight is a square-notch design finished in BlackNitride, offering a clean sight picture at speed without the distraction of rear night sight lamps. XS Sights prices the DXT2 Pro at $153.99.
New DXT2 Pro fits include the Smith & Wesson M&P full-size and Compact, M&P M2.0 full-size and Compact, SD9, and CSX, as well as the FN 509 and FN Reflex. These additions build on prior DXT2 Pro coverage that already spanned a range of Glock, Ruger, and other popular defensive pistols.
The R3D 2.0 takes a different approach and is aimed at shooters who want full tritium illumination front and rear. The rear sight carries two tritium dots positioned to allow one-handed slide racking against a belt, holster, or hard surface without snagging — a practical feature for anyone training for worst-case scenarios. The front sight uses XS Sights' dual-illuminated Glow Dot, which combines a tritium lamp with a white ring for visibility across lighting conditions. Suppressor-height versions are available for many fits, making the R3D 2.0 compatible with the growing number of carry guns running micro-suppressors or optics mounted on extended plates.
New R3D 2.0 platforms include a substantial slice of the SIG Sauer catalog: the P320 (including X-Compact and X-Macro variants), P365 and P365XL, and the P225, P226, P228, P229, SP2009, and SP2340. Springfield Armory fans will find new fits for the XD, XD-M, XD-S, XD-S MOD.2, XD-E, and Hellcat. The FN 509 is covered under the R3D 2.0 as well.
Both lines are machined from American materials at XS Sights' facility in Fort Worth. The company has been on an expansion run this year, adding fits for the PSA Dagger Micro and Smith & Wesson revolvers in recent months. These additions are a logical extension, bringing major SIG, S&W, Springfield, and FN semi-automatic platforms under the same manufacturing umbrella.
For carry shooters, the choice between the two lines largely comes down to philosophy. The DXT2 Pro's clean rear paired with a bright front gets the gun on target faster for those who shoot with a focus-on-the-front-sight technique. The R3D 2.0's rear tritium lamps add a reference point in full darkness and make the sight easy to present when transitioning from a retention position. The snag-resistant rear profile is a genuine benefit for reholstering under stress or clearing a garment.
Both sight sets are available now. Pricing for the R3D 2.0 runs around $137.49 for common fits such as the Smith & Wesson CSX, with variation depending on the specific platform. XS Sights sells direct and through a network of dealers and distributors nationwide.
