The National Rifle Association's 155th Annual Meetings & Exhibits opened this morning at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, running April 16 through 19 with more than 800 exhibitors spread across 14-plus acres of show floor, NRA-ILA announced ahead of the event. Admission is free for NRA members and their immediate family.
The show arrives during one of the more active legislative and regulatory stretches the industry has seen in years. This week alone, the DOJ reversed course for the second time on the ATF frames-and-receivers rule, Virginia's governor returned a sweeping semi-auto ban to the legislature rather than veto it, and a public comment window on USPS's proposed handgun mailing rule is running simultaneously. Houston is where the community processes all of it. Several confirmed product launches are already on the calendar for the four-day run. European American Armory (EAA Corp.) is unveiling two new models expanding its Girsan-built double-stack Witness2311 lineup at the EAA booth Friday, April 17 at 11 a.m., EAA Corp. announced. The new Witness 2311 CMX adds an integrated firing pin block safety and drops the rear beavertail grip to reduce overall bulk, at an MSRP of $1,229. The companion Witness 2311 CMXX ships with a compensated barrel for reduced muzzle rise and is available in 9mm, .45 ACP, and 10mm at $1,149.
Dead Air Silencers is showcasing two new models — the Nomad Ti OTB and CT5P — alongside its established Sandman, Wolfman, and Nomad lineup, The Outdoor Wire reported. The timing is notable: the NFA tax elimination on suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs, signed into law on July 4, 2025, took effect January 1, 2026, and suppressor sales have accelerated since. SDS Arms — umbrella brand for Tokarev USA, Military Armament Corp, Spandau Arms, and Inglis — is on the floor at booth #4630. NRA governance is also part of the Houston agenda, with 12 proposed bylaw amendments covering online voting, executive committee structure, and compliance oversight heading to the Bylaws and Resolutions Committee on Thursday, before going to the Members' Meeting on Saturday and a full Board vote on Monday. AmmoLand has been tracking the proposals ahead of the meeting.
The Members' Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, and the Board of Directors convenes Monday, April 20. New product coverage from the show floor is expected to roll through all four days across all major enthusiast outlets; watch for additional manufacturer announcements through Saturday as the exhibit hall reaches full traffic.
